Since 1983, the Community Behavioral Health Association of Maryland has represented community-based behavioral health providers. Our mission is twofold: to advocate for state policies that expand access to behavioral health services, and to support our members in delivering high-quality services. Timely Information
CBH is the behavioral health industry’s premier voice in Annapolis and with the state’s healthcare policy-makers. CBH publishes a weekly electronic newsletter, hosts several events every year, and hosts several program committees that meet regularly.
A Collective Voice
CBH reviews every regulation and bill proposed in Maryland to evaluate its impact on the community behavioral health system. CBH offers formal comments on regulations throughout the year, as well as formal testimony on over 30 bills every legislative session.
Peer Learning
CBH offers professional development to help members learn from each other and deploy new skills. Committees bring guest speakers or state policy-makers together with program managers or directors on focused topics. These committees are a great way to learn best practices, stay abreast of change, and influence state policy.
